Jumpscares

Jumpscares are an action meant to shock the player before they are killed by a cryptid. Jumpscares are used heavily in Chapter 2: Origins.

Siren Head - picks up the player and explodes the player with loud noises, then throws the player.
Cartoon Cat -scares the player, then throws the player.
The Sister Of The Ever-Sharpening Blade - removes her sheath, then starts killing the player with the spikes on her head.
The Creator - kills you with an axe
Wendigo - sinks his teeth into player's head.
Unknown Howl - bites the player.
Bad Dream - breaks the player's neck.
Yeti - scares the player.
God Of Roadkill - picks up the player then scares the player.
Chicken Ghost - scratches the player.
